ORE AND WATER RESOURCE

    Linqu county owns abundant mineral resources. More than 40 kinds of ore including gold, silver, copper, oron, coal, limestone, sapphire, marble stone and so on have been proved in the county up to now. It is estimated that the reserve of the high-quality limestone in the county is 102 million tons, the limestone for soda and cement production is 500 million and 2 billion tons respectively. And the reserve of granite and marble stone is 450 million cubic meter. As for other mineral resources such as the basalt, the diatomite and the malm, it is calculated that their reserves are 100 million tons, 500,000 tons and 30 million tons respectively.
　

    The water reserve of Linqu county is enormous. Average annual precipitation is 704.8 millimeters, namely 1.29 billion cubic meters. And average annual water reserve is 557 million cubic meters, including 372 million cubic meters of surface water and 228 million cubic meters of ground water. According to the statistic data, there are 57 main rivers in the county, which are devided into Meehe River system and Wenhe River system, and there are totally 522 samll, medium and large scaled reservoirs with the water reserve of 394.14 million suqare meters and water coverage of 32,000 mu including 30,000 mu for fish pond. The water coming from Old Dragon Spring has been tested to be high-quality natural mineral water.
